    Aon are currently recruiting a Tech Bar Analyst to join our team in London. The Tech Bar Analyst will be primarily responsible for providing technical support at the Tech Bar, supporting and assisting all Aon colleagues.

    About the Role

     

    Your impact as a Tech Bar Analyst:

     

    Key accountabilities:

    1. Provide operational support at the Tech Bar, consisting predominantly of supporting laptops and smart phones.
    2. Provide guidance and direction for technology related enquiries from colleagues, addressing ‘how-to’-type questions.
    3. Prioritise Tech Bar workload and manage colleague expectations.
    4. Manage stock control at the Tech Bar, ensuring appropriate levels of IT loan stock are held, and undertaking regular stock reconciliation following set processes.
    5. Create and maintain documentation for all future and existing IT policies, procedures, and knowledge base articles.
    6. Ensure technology support meets the business requirements as defined in the Service Level Agreements.
    7. Play a key role in the adoption and promotion of new technology.
    8. Responsible for ensuring close working relationships are established and maintained with peers in Aon Technology as required.
    9. Analyse and produce data for Aon managers, as part of IT equipment control, as required.
    10. Proactively participate in internal meetings.
    11. Assist with maintaining full legal complicity of Aon installed software.
    12. Assist in maintaining security over Aon IT hardware assets.
    13. Participate in training to add to the overall skill levels of the Aon deskside support team.
    14. Responsibility for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.

    About you

     

    Your knowledge and expertise:

     

    Education/Experience

     

    Educated to a good standard of general education.

     

    Experience of working in a customer facing IT support role following industry standard processes, management of IT tasks and analysis of operational issues in a service desk or deskside environment.

     

    Tech Bar Work

     

    Excellent customer facing skills, confident, able to deal with difficult/under pressure customers.  Always ensuring a positive experience for customers at each visit to the Tech Bar.

     

    IT

     

    Experience required with:

    • Windows 7 and 10
    • Office 2010/2016/365, including advanced Outlook and Excel
    • Remote Access solutions including VPN, Citrix
    • Hardware, configuring peripherals, and comfortable with diagnosing issues at a level where reseating components is required
    • WiFi
    • Smartphones, including configuration and use of Intune via Microsoft Company Portal
    • Bitlocker Windows encryption
    • Network troubleshooting
    • Monitor cabling/configuration

     

    Professional Qualifications

     

    Possess or working towards Microsoft Certification MCITP or equivalent knowledge in enterprise-level deskside computing.

     

    Appreciation of ITIL Service Management processes.

     

    An understanding of customer deskside requirements in relation to internal departmental procedures.

     

    Experience of IT desktop management in the enterprise.

     

    Experience in PC, printer and associated desktop hardware systems.
