    We’re hiring!


    Aon are currently recruiting a Broker / Account Executive to join Aon’s highly successful International Property team (which is part of the Global Broking Centre) with a specific focus on Canada, New Zealand and Australia clients. Responsible for building relationships with our network offices in these regions, managing a large volume of small, medium sized clients and creating their placement solutions within the Lloyd’s, London and European markets.


    We’re looking for an experienced individual with sound technical specialist knowledge and ability who can efficiently delivery all market (and network) facing activity within scope of responsibility.


    This role will be based out of our Chelmsford office.

    Global Broking Centre - London


    The Global Broking Centre in London is an integral part of Aon’s global broking strategy. The GBC provides colleagues from across the Aon network with access to specialist brokers and client managers, dedicated client solutions and thought leadership, and significant global insurance capacity.


    The GBC works with network colleagues to deliver market-leading solutions to Aon clients, creating a competitive advantage in our placement strategies worldwide.


    About the Role


    Your impact as a Broker / Account Executive:


    Core functional activity:

    Firm Order broking (Ebix / wet stamps / email)

    Follow market broking

    Record broking activity in market sheets


    Secondary functional activity:

    Review / Create / Enhance Submission

    Review draft / final MRC

    Lead quote broking

    Market relationship management

    Define marketing strategy (specific to placement)

    Scan / index final agreed slip


    Occasional (optional) functional activity:

    Produce and/or deliver tenders

    Client relationship management (direct clients and/or network)

    Client meetings

    File maintenance - ECM

    SPS design / placement

    Develop best in class product wordings (for SPS/product etc)

    Provide technical wording advice to client/network

    Provide technical training / guidance to colleagues

    Coaching and mentoring


    Responsibility for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.


    About you


    Your knowledge and expertise:


    Good knowledge of Property (Canada and NZ experience preferred but not essential)

    Ability to independently run a large volume of small accounts from start to finish

    Ability to interpret and use data effectively

    Sound understanding of London insurance market dynamics and core processes

    Sound technical insurance knowledge

    Ability to use insurance industry IT systems to efficiently deliver client service

    Good problem solving skills

    Good interpersonal skills

    Good level of numeracy

    Effective communication and presentation skills

    Good understanding of compliance and FCA regulation

    Ability to work well as part of a team

    Demonstrate integrity and professionalism
