Data Analyst, Researcher. 12 month Fixed Term Contract.
We are currently looking for a Researcher to join our Rewards Solutions practice based in London on a 12 month fixed term contract. The Rewards Solutions practice forms part of our Talent, Reward and Performance business, which is a division of Aon plc.
The Reward Solutions team is one of the UK's leading executive remuneration consultancies. Having access to accurate and reliable research data, drawn and analysed from companies' public disclosures of executive remuneration information is vital to our client work and marketing activities. The Research Team is dedicated to undertaking this analysis and maintaining our database of research data. The work requires attention to detail, an ability to read, understand and interpret, both text and numerical information and identify key pieces of information required.
The role provides the opportunity to develop a detailed knowledge of executive remuneration packages and design.

About the Role
The principal aims of the Executive Compensation Research Team are to maintain and develop the database of executive remuneration data covering the FTSE All-Share, Fledgling, Eurotop 100, AIM 100 and various other European companies, as necessary to the highest possible standards of accuracy and to inform the work of consultants, Associate Partners and Partners.
This is furthered by the following objectives:
Analyse executive remuneration disclosures in company reports and accounts in a timely and accurate manner;
Identify and evaluate appropriate secondary information resources;
Analyse the information gathered to answer consultants' queries.
A secondary aim is to facilitate the knowledge sharing within the department through:
Identifying areas of development for the database;
Managing a range of information researches to aid consultants' work.
Areas of responsibility include:
Timely and accurate analysis of information from company Report & Accounts.
Working as part of a team to achieve a high level of standardisation of information.
Monitoring share indices and constituents, including mergers and acquisitions and new flotations.
CPD particularly in the areas of corporate governance and executive remuneration practices.
Design and development of the in-house database (Microsoft Access).
Responsible for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.
Your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
Ideally (but not necessarily) educated to degree level in a discipline requiring a high level of text analysis and interpretation.
Clear evidence of strong numerical skills, A level equivalent in numerical subject preferred.
Textual and numerical analysis.
Experience of a wide range of IT applications, inducing Microsoft applications (ideally Excel and Access).
Ability to work in a team.
Attention to detail.
Flexible approach to work.
Good communication skills.
