• Practice Leader - Claims Preparation, Advocacy and Valuations (CPAV)

  • Posting Description

    CPAV Practice Leader (London, UK)

    We’re hiring!

We are currently looking to recruit a Practice Leader to join AGRC’s Claims Preparation, Advocacy and Valuations (CPAV) team in London.

CPAV provides claims quantification and preparation services for large and complex losses, typically focused on business interruption. It contracts with clients, but fees are sometimes met in whole or part by insurers, through claims preparation clauses, although these are inconsistently applied throughout EMEA.

CPAV also undertakes pre-loss business interruption calculations to help to validate clients’ business interruption insurance values. Historically, this has provided a hedge to any reduction in demand for claims services, caused by volatility in the volume of losses occurring in Europe.

You will be tasked with accelerating growth in CPAV EMEA, with a particularly focus on:

Identifying the opportunities to grow CPAV across EMEA and building a plan to achieve these goals

Improving our CPAV value proposition, ensuring it is consistent across EMEA and extending it to include non-damage BI / cyber claims services. Bringing CPAV into our wider Risk Control offering, to create scalability and to mirror the successful practice structure in the US

Building alignment with the wider claims operation, in claims centres of excellence such as London, and playing a key role in simplifying the rules of the road determining where clients should go for advice and support on major losses.

Building and implementing the target operating model for CPAV, ensuring a consistent pricing of services protocol

Generating direct, personal revenue by working on the backlog of UK work, providing leadership on the development and delivery of consulting engagements for the losses incurred by our most significant clients

Building the understanding, support and trust of Aon CEOs / CBOs / CCOs in the most significant EMEA countries where there is no current CPAV book – Netherlands, Germany, Nordics, Italy, France – to drive engagement and to establish local books of CPAV business.

Ensuring that the CPAV proposition, including advice around cyber losses, is appropriately embedded in our value propositions for the Enterprise Client Group / Multinational Client Services etc.

Working with the EMEA CBOs to drive the consistent implementation of claims preparation clauses into all PDBI and Cyber policies, as part of AGRC’s broking led strategy.

Strengthening the relationship with international CPAV operations, in particular with the US, to encourage greater collaboration and a One Aon approach to responding to / resourcing major loss events. A high performing hire from the US team would help considerably with this goal.
