Assistant Financial Crime Manager (Epsom or Glasgow, UK) – 6 Month Fixed Term Contract

Aon are currently recruiting for an Assistant Financial Crime Manager to join our team in either Epsom or Glasgow.
The Assistant Financial Crime Manager will provide effective support to the Financial Crime Team, assisting in the management of the compliance activities of Aon’s UK entities in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and Aon plc Policies, but with particular emphasis on financial crime including anti-bribery and corruption, trade restrictions and anti-money laundering
As a member of the team your responsibilities are likely to involve:
Assist in facilitating/conducting Financial sanctions screening in line with Aon plc requirements including appropriate records retention
Facilitate/conduct due diligence in respect of Aon’s client relationships
Providing support for Financial Crime project work
Assist with the development and maintenance of Financial Crime Team procedures
Supporting the Financial Crime Team in tracking outstanding actions.
Assisting Financial Crime Team members as required
Work on own initiative and liaise with other colleagues to resolve queries that arise
Working in accordance with agreed procedures and regulatory requirements
Act as an ambassador for the Financial Crime Team
Your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
Experience working within a financial crime role, preferably within the financial services sector.
Strong organisational, prioritisation and time management skills, with the ability to work to tight deadlines
Ability to manage multiple tasks and issues
Ability to build good working relationships
High level of accuracy and a good attention to detail
Excellent administrative skills including ability to use Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
A Level’s or equivalent
ICA Certificate in Financial Crime Prevention preferable
