    Bid Writer and Content Manager 


    We’re hiring!


    Aon are currently recruiting a Bid Writer and Content Manager   to join our team in Bristol, Epsom, Farnborough or as a Home worker. The Bid Writer and Content Manager   will be primarily responsible for working alongside the bid management team and Aon’s Health & Benefits sales team by writing, updating and managing content for our proposals and within our various document libraries. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented writer to really make the difference to the tone of our bids and proposals. A writer who can connect with our client base, primarily working with new and reusable content in MS Office templates for proposals and tenders.


    We work in a fast-paced environment that occasionally requires irregular work hours and quick turnarounds, so flexibility is critical for success in this position. We are looking for a candidate who is creative, innovative and able to easily adapt to rapid changes in new business requirements.  The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a collaborative environment in a small bid team, within the larger wider sales team.  We are focused on providing best-in-class, high quality documents, and you will have a significant role in helping us achieve that goal.

    About the Role


    Your impact as a Bid Writer and Content Manager:


    Bid writing


    • Write highly engaging bid content that reflects our company and brand’s voice.
    • Writing persuasive, client-focused proposal content in support of new or developing services and capabilities.
    • Collaborate with the Bid team, Marketing, Proposition Leaders and wider Aon teams to develop a variety of content and material.
    • Produce error-free content that adheres to the company’s style guidelines.
    • Simultaneously manage multiple projects with short deadlines.

    Content management


    • Ensuring bid content conforms with Aon’s brand guidelines.
    • Ownership and promotion of our business area’s proposal content.
    • Responding to requests for new content.
    • Maintaining up to date knowledge of our propositions and services and proactively identifying new content requirements.
    • Monitoring content updates, working with Proposition leaders across the business to ensure library content is current.
    • Coordinating content of technical and specialist content by wider subject matter experts.
    • Reviewing and proofing content.
    • Updating individual library items into our SharePoint library.
    • Managing content approval and sign-off processes.
    • Responsibility for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.

    About you


    Your knowledge and expertise:



    • Degree level education in relevant discipline (preferably English or Journalism).


    • Foundation level certificate in APMP, PRINCE2 desirable
    • Relevant work experience in bid writing and/or copywriting, and content management.
    • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications.
    • Familiarity with InDesign is desirable.
    • Demonstrable ability to write persuasive, appealing content for a range of clients in different industries.
    • To be able to manage multiple projects, prioritise, meet deadlines, and adapt to change.
    • Demonstrable ability to understand the needs and priorities of different stakeholders around the business.
    • Exceptional attention to detail and time management skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • To have the ability to communicate effectively and in a constructive manner with Stakeholders.
