    Aon are currently recruiting for a Client Service Advisor to join our team in Edinburgh, focusing on Real Estate insurance.  This is an exciting opportunity to work within a highly knowledgeable and engaged team within an award winning global professional services firm.

We work with property investors, developers, fund and asset managers, providing bespoke insurance products and advice and helping them to achieve three key objectives: identify and mitigate risk exposures via insurance solutions or other risk management initiatives, help to deliver value for money to tenants and key stakeholders and look to unlock real estate and corporate deals, reducing transaction cost/delay and enhancing competitive bid position.



    About the role


    Some of your key responsibilities will include:


    • Working with your Aon colleagues to ensure the highest level of service to each Client, fully understanding the Client's business and insurance requirements, contributing to the formulation of the Service Plan, Reports, and Presentations and attending Client visits.
    • Undertake negotiations with insurers, marketing and negotiating terms to achieve optimum solution for the client.
    • Preparation of comprehensive marketing presentations, renewal reports and cover comparisons where required.
    • Communicate terms of settlement to Client, ensure premiums are debited (and allocated appropriately where necessary) and assist with maintenance of credit control standards.
    • Provide on-going communication with the client following queries/alterations and ensure Client Manager is kept appraised of developments.
    • Establish and develop effective working relationships with Insurers and where appropriate, differentiating with the Client; the cover, service and industry knowledge that a specific Insurer could deliver to them.
    • Identify programme design improvements and revenue growth opportunities for Clients.
    • Ensure contract certainty is delivered.
    • Be seen by colleagues as someone who is supportive and helpful, professionally representing Aon and their corporate objectives, and taking ownership of problems and their resolution.
    • Responsible for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.



    About you


    Your skills and qualifications will ideally include:


    • Experience gained in the insurance industry; knowledge of property owners’ and / or property / BI covers is advantageous.
    • Understanding of commercial insurance market dynamics and technical knowledge in major and pecuniary classes.
    • Good influencing, listening and communication skills; able to positive engage with Clients, colleagues and stakeholders.
    • An adaptable, focused and self-disciplined approach with the drive to achieve results.
    • Ability to work efficiently within a structured process, co-ordinating activities within a cross-functional team, and displaying excellent decision making and problem solving skills.
    • Previous use of insurance industry IT systems to efficiently deliver client service is advantageous but not essential.
