    Insurance Reporting Technician

    Aon is currently recruiting a Reporting Technician to join our team in Chelmsford, UK. The Reporting Technician will be primarily responsible for delivering accurate reports for Aon Underwriting Managers (AUM) Business Partners on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis using business systems in addition to MS Excel & Access Tools.


    The Aon Underwriting Managers (AUM) business fulfils many of the roles of an insurance company - underwrites (evaluates the risks and exposures of potential clients against the insurance covers), prices (determines the premium that is charged to insure that risk), issues policies, mid-term adjustments and renewals, and on some facilities manages the claims handling and settlement. AUM focuses on commercial insurance products across Accident and Health, Property and Casualty, Financial Lines and Marine sectors.


    About the role


    As a Reporting Technician some of your key responsibilities will include:


    • Generate Premium, Risk and Bordereau reports.
    • Perform Bordereaux reconciliations for premium and paid; identifying and investigating any discrepancies.
    • Maintain a register of reports produced and monitor performance against agreed SLAs.
    • Assist the Financial Operations teams when performing weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting tasks.
    • Assist the AUM Reports Developer to improve reporting capabilities.
    • Responsible for completing Facility and operational MI as and when agreed.
    • Responsible for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.


    About you


    Your skills and qualifications will ideally include:


    • Ideally qualified by experience in a similar role, preferably from an insurance market employer.
    • Some knowledge of preparing bordereaux reports is preferred but not essential.
    • Some experience using Insurance IT systems to efficiently deliver client reporting services is preferred but not essential.
    • Excellent working knowledge of MS Excel.
    • Good communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well as part of a team.
