About the Role
As an Accountant some of your key responsibilities will involve:
Assisting and supporting the Broking Entities Controller.
Reviewing balance sheet accounts and working capital forecasts prepared by the Aon Finance Centre in Krakow.
Obtaining a detailed understanding of the business P&L, budget and forecast and ensuring appropriate reporting to the Aon UK Limited Board and Audit Committee.
Assisting the Controller with the preparation of the Aon UK Limited statutory financial statements under IFRS and preparing analysis that will assist in the audit.
Assisting the Controller with the preparation of the quarterly RMAR submission to the FCA.
Preparation of five year forecast as part of a deferred tax asset analysis.
Oversight of derivatives reporting in the UK, preparing meaningful management information on both P&L and BS movements.
Support the Broking Entities Controller in delivering effective Financial Reporting and Controls.
Work effectively with FP&A as a business partner to address their requirements and vice versa.
Work effectively with internal and external auditors and meet their requirements.
Keep up to date with IFRS and US GAAP reporting standards.
Work with FP&A in understanding and reporting budget and forecast – and help deliver detailed management information for presentation to the Board and Audit Committee.
Responsible for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.
As a Financial Accountant your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
CIMA, ACA or ACCA qualified or part qualified.
Proven experience in financial control activities
Current knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP accounting
Good attention to detail
Prepared to seek resolution to queries and issues and is comfortable working across disciplines and to tight deadlines
