    Aon are currently recruiting a Fixed Income Manager Researcher to join our team in London. The Fixed Income Manager Researcher will be primarily responsible for providing support to our investment consulting operations in the execution and delivery of solutions for clients. Whilst principally a fixed income role, the successful applicant will also work closely with other asset classes where research warrants colleagues from multiple disciplines.

    About the Role

     

    Your impact as a Fixed Income Manager Researcher:

    • Be a key member of our global fixed income manager research team covering global and regional mandates.
    • Providing insight and recommendations on managers.
    • Acting as the primary point of contact for a selection of managers, and having the knowledge needed to be able to field any bond-related questions with respect to those managers.
    • Creating and maintaining standard reports and be able to present confidently to consultants and clients on any issues relating to those managers.
    • Prepare bespoke reports to help clients find a solution to achieve their investment objectives. Including but not limited to manager selection and manager structure.
    • Leading manager research meetings, analysing the findings and formulating manager ratings for specific products.
    • Communicating and challenging team views on a range of investment products.
    • Involved in research of other asset classes/strategies with fixed income exposure.
    • Production of thought pieces, white papers and blog postings of pertinent investment themes and new innovations in the investment industry.
    • Work closely with other members of the manager research team (in UK and mainly North America).
    • Work closely with other relevant business areas e.g. Delegated Consulting Services in construction and monitoring of fixed income fund of fund solutions.
    • Promoting Aon’s product offering and professional reputation externally e.g. talking at conferences.
    • Helping grow Aon’s client base e.g. new business pitches.
    • Responsibility for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.

    About you

     

    Your knowledge and expertise:

    • University degree to at least 2:1 level.
    • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in at least Excel.
    • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
    • Accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work independently and within a team environment on a variety of projects, receive instructions from a number of people, and meet project deadlines.
    • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
    • Quick learner and demonstrated problem solver.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills.
