    Business Development Executive – Corporate Risks

    Aon are currently recruiting a Business Development Executive to join our Corporate team based in Leicester. The primary responsibility of the role is to initiate, build and strengthen relationships with new clients, related to corporate risks in the UK.


    About the Role


    • Accountability for articulating the sales plan, account planning for all prospects and co-ordinate all prospect activity
    • A full understanding and ability to articulate the value delivered by Aon and effectively lead remuneration negotiations
    • Effective analysis driven risk financing strategy, including program design and marketing, with prospects to meet their needs where appropriate
    • Managing the sales process
    • Understanding the client need and matching them with Aon Solutions, developing and maintaining effective prospect relationships using best practice sales techniques
    • Actively building relationships across Aon and exploit cross selling opportunities, and contribute to the team’s sales strategy
    • Effectively using Salesforce.com to manage pipeline and opportunities
    • Accountability for adherences to business processes, systems and procedures
    • Responsible for compliance with regulatory requirements and business procedures (including usage of salesforce.com, GRIP, Ri3k/applicable trading platforms and application of Aon insurer security policies where relevant)
    • Responsible for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company


    About the Role


    As a Business Development Executive, your skills and qualifications will ideally include:


    • An established background in business development
    • Excellent Client Management relationship skills, including negotiation, influencing and interpersonal skills
    • Technical commercial insurance knowledge across all major classes
    • Ability to use insurance industry IT systems to efficiently deliver client service
    • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Good understanding of compliance and FCA regulation
