Aon are currently recruiting a Deputy Chief Broking Officer / Portfolio Solutions Director to join our team in London.
The Deputy Chief Broking Officer will be primarily responsible for contributing, developing and delivering the Aon Broking Strategy across the GBC. Working with the GBC leadership team, AUM and Aon network offices to identify and develop SPS opportunities and ensure a robust and compliant process is implemented and applied to their development, execution and management and working closely with the CEO and CBO of GBC in a key leadership role in delivery of Aon Broking Strategy.
The successful individual will also have line management responsibility for the Portfolio Solutions Team (Delegated Underwriting Authority management team / Head of Programmes and Facilities).

About the Role
Your impact as Deputy Chief Broking Officer:
Aon Broking Data & Analytics
Working with Aon Inpoint and GBC Operations and IT to develop industry leading analytics in support on Aon SPS Broking and GBC strategies.
At all times have a highly developed and detailed understanding of the entire GBC portfolio and what is in scope for facilities (including ACT).
Structured Portfolio Solutions
Create and implement an ambitious growth plan on the deployment of SPS and ensure that it is effectively deployed in both the GBC and Aon’s network offices.
Work with Business Unit Leaders to set specific priorities and actions to deliver the annual SPS targets of the GBC.
Monitor and manage all Aon Broking targets set through the relevant tracking tools, reviewing monthly performance to deliver agreed targets
Oversee service delivery to Network MGA operations and Network offices reliant upon GBC ability to place and service SPS on their behalf.
Understand broader SPS strategy and work to broaden, improve and modify to ensure relevance to clients
Provide oversight and control of client facing ACT activity as well as supporting AUM on structural changes to ACT and/or other London based SPS
Broking Excellence Strategies
Support the Broking Excellence agenda in the Global Broking Centre, London, and develop an improve Carrier Management capability across all business units in the GBC.
Contribute to the development and implement the Aon Broking strategy
In conjunction with the CEO, CCO, CBO and Business Unit Leaders develop and agree broking business plans to deliver increased premium flow and yield growth,
Build effective working relationships with carriers and other external stakeholders in support of the Aon Broking and GBC strategies
Lead role in coordinating and resolving claims disputes with clients and carriers on behalf of GBC
Aon Broking Analytics
Effectively use data, analytics and insights to drive change and business results
Product Development and Innovation
Incubate new ideas/products with clients and/or carriers, set success criteria for pilot launch and obtain formal compliance/legal sign off prior to full deployment
Develop data mining skills to identify opportunities to develop new products, win new products and grow profitable revenue streams
Commission yield management
As part of Aon broking, develop strategies and actions plans to increase premium flow and yield growth on behalf of the GBC as a whole
Review and challenge current remuneration to ensure Aon Broking strategies on fees and commission are in place across the GBC
Leadership and People Management

Your knowledge and expertise:
Extensive Experience of working at Executive Board level, influencing and implementing change
In-depth knowledge and expertise in insurance broking
Proven track record in programme design and placement
Proven track record of driving change and innovation within the insurance industry
Senior, results oriented, business leader with a proven track record of growth delivery
Commercial acumen and negotiation skills of the highest order.
Enthusiastic team player with strong relationship and empathy building skills who is capable of selling reasons for change / plans to a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
