2446943 - Automation Support Technician, (Chelmsford, UK) - 6 Month Fixed Term Contract
Aon are currently recruiting a Automation Support Technician to join the Global Broking Centre in Chelmsford.
In 2017 Aon teamed up with an external provider to look at Robotics Process Automation (RPA) solutions to some of the Global Broking Centre activities. The project has identified several areas in which RPA can provide improved performance. The role will be working within the project team to help stabilise and improve the automation performance.
The role of the Automation Support Technician to drive continued development of the Automation Project.
The day to day role will involve supporting the improved quality of processing through the robotic software, by handling the exceptions and other non-automatable functions to ensure a smooth end to end process.
The successful candidate will also be required to provide innovation and steer the Automation Project to a successful final state.

The Global Broking Centre in Chelmsford is an integral part of Aon’s global broking strategy. The GBC provides colleagues from across the Aon network with access to specialist brokers and client managers, dedicated client solutions and thought leadership, and significant global insurance capacity.

About the Role
Your impact as an Automation Support Technician:
Supporting and driving automation performance through exception management
Own model 1 risks that cannot be automated without technical input
Acting as the central location for dealing with XIS/EBOT queries emanating from automated
Acting as escalation point for technical issues arising from the robotics software
Resolving queries and issues
Supporting the business in completing all processing correctly and efficiently through
guidance and support and training of the automation activities
Assisting in identifying opportunities for service improvement, develop and implement solutions
Responsibility for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.
Your knowledge and expertise:
Minimum A-Level or equivalent
Typically CII qualified
An understanding of London insurance market dynamics and core processes is preferred
Ability to use insurance industry IT systems to efficiently deliver client service
Good analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
High level of numeracy
Effective communication and presentation skills
Excellent understanding and application of compliance and FCA regulation
Ability to work well as part of a team
Demonstrate integrity and professionalism
