    Aon Benfield is recruiting 2 nearly or newly qualified Life Actuaries to join their market leading Accident, Health and Life team in London, primarily servicing EMEA life clients.

    Both roles will be responsible for providing sophisticated solution development and client delivery of life and capital solutions to life insurance companies. One role will be primarily UK facing, while the other will be EMEA focussed.

    About the Role

     

    Key responsibilities:

    • Analysis of client Solvency II, Embedded Value and IFRS balance sheets
    • Developing sophisticated balance sheet restructuring solutions
    • Providing expert advise to clients
    • Executing large non-traditional transactions to tight timeframes
    • Development of new life insurance clients
    • Supporting other times in the EMEA region in solution development and transaction execution

    Responsible for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.

     

    About you

     

    As a Life Actuary your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

     

    Education:

    • Degree qualification in Actuarial Sciences, Mathematics, Statistics or a numerate related field

    Experience, Knowledge & Skills:

    • Nearly or newly qualified actuary
    • Solid experience within the Life (Re) Insurance industry, covering one or more of mortality, morbidity or capital solutions
    • Experience with Solvency II or IFRS17 an advantage
    • Strong problem solving ability
    • Excellent attention to detail
    • Ability to work under pressure
    • Strong client delivery work ethic
    • Good client communication skills
    • Solid project management skills to meet deadlines
