About the Role
As a Catastrophe Modelling Developer/Support your key responsibilities will involve:
Develop logic for data conversions between cat models including but not limited to policy terms, reinsurance, address, occupancy and construction codes
Provide support to Aon Benfield cat modelling teams and external clients on ImpactWorkbench product.
Be part of complex client projects carried out in London to help the projects with exposure data handling and subsequently absorb any new methods into the ImpactWorkbench product
Liaise with the capital markets team in London to provide them industry exposure and loss databases for RMS, AIR, RQE and IF and explain any version differences.
About you As a Catastrophe Modelling Developer/Support your skills and qualifications will include:
Solid experience in catastrophe modelling using RMS, AIR, IF, RQE and ImpactWorkbench (or similar tool).
Theoretical understanding of catastrophe models and the practical aspects of running catastrophe models
Experience in advanced SQL skills including database design, performance optimisation and data warehousing
Experience in product design, development and support of cat modelling tool
Experience in client facing and, working on complex client projects
Knowledge of working on model evaluation projects, report generation and research skills.
