Legal Counsel


We’re hiring!


Aon Hewitt are currently recruiting a Legal Counsel to join our team in London, Manchester or St Albans. The Legal Counsel will be primarily responsible for commercial contract supporting, along with some involvement in business-led projects. The candidate should be experienced in working for the "sell-side" of a service provider (ideally professional services) and demonstrate problem-solving skills.

About the Role


As a Legal Counsel some of your key responsibilities will involve:


Key responsibilities:

  • Drafting and negotiating on transactional client contracting matters, including reviewing contracts and other legal documentation, assessing associated risks and advising the business;
  • Negotiation of a client's (or their external counsel) and Aon contract documentation;
  • Developing and improvement of Aon's contracting documentation;
  • Complex contract negotiations, including some of a multi-jurisdictional nature
  • Responsible for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.


About you


As a Legal Counsel your skills and qualifications will ideally include:



Qualified lawyer (whether in the UK or foreign qualified)
