    Aon Hewitt are currently recruiting a Associate Investment Consultant to join our team in Edinburgh. The Associate Investment Consultant will be primarily responsible for adding value to Aon’s relationship with clients through management, development and retention of a portfolio of clients.

    About the Role

     

    As an Associate Investment Consultant some of your key responsibilities will involve:

     

    Key responsibilities:

    • Using your strong technical investment knowledge and experience to proactively support lead consultants in proving high quality bespoke advice.
    • Understanding client needs and requirements.
    • Manage routine client projects, with modest oversight from a more experienced consultant.
    • Coordination of client work and timely delivery to the client and/or lead consultant.
    • Serve as day-to-day contact on smaller clients.
    • Prepare meeting materials and participate in meetings.
    • Contribute to the success of the DC investment team through helping to drive business performance.
    • Responsible for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.

     

    About you

     

    As an Associate Investment Consultant your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

    Education:

    • Educated to Degree Level or equivalent
    • Good numeracy skills, with a minimum of a grade B at A’ Level Mathematics (or equivalent / in another numerate subject) preferred

    Experience, Knowledge & Skills:

    • Previous investment and / or DC consulting experience
    • Experience of the financial services' industry and current industry trends.
    • Strong technical investment knowledge 
    • A willingness to learn and understand DC pension liabilities, applicable regulatory and legislative rules, main asset classes and investment theory.
    • Positive, ‘can do’ attitude and a strong team player.
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Consistently acts with the highest integrity and professional standards.
    • An eye for detail
