2442278 - Data Technician - Central Business Support Team, 6 Month Fixed Term Contract
Aon are currently recruiting a Data Technician to join the Central Business Support Team which is part of the Global Broking Centre based in Chelmsford.
The Data Technician will be primarily responsible for providing hands-on, pro-active and detail-focused data entry / upload of structured data in the Brokasure system.
The successful candidate will be expected to be able to engage effectively with stakeholders, work as part of a project team, communicate clearly and have good Microsoft Word skills

About the Role
As a Data Technician some of your key responsibilities will involve:
Uploading structured data (provided in a template format) in an accurate and timely manner
Refreshing the application so the data is readily available
Ensuring the centrally held SharePoint data sheets are updated with any changes
Cross referencing Xuber data tables with existing data structures to ensure all tables have been included
Quality checking of data loads to ensure it works and is accessible
Creating and maintaining user access rights within the system
Creating and maintaining entities within all of the various IT systems which CBST oversee, Brokasure, PURE, IPT Quote etc.
Creating and maintaining the various reference tables within the various IT systems which CBST support
Responsibility for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.
As a Data Technician your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills
Previous data entry experience desirable
Ideally a candidate who has worked in a broking or insurance environment
Hands-on experience of using broking or insurance systems would be a benefit
Analytical thinker with an eye for detail
