Insurance Reporting Technician - Underwriting Team - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Aon (AUM) is currently recruiting a Reporting Technician to join our team in Chelmsford, UK. The Reporting Technician will be primarily responsible for.  To deliver accurately reports for AUM Business Partners on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis using AUM Business system(s) as well as MS Excel & Access Tools.


AUM undertakes underwriting on behalf of insurers and delivers expertise in specific product ranges or trade sectors. AUM focuses on commercial insurance products across Accident and Health, Property and Casualty, Financial Lines and Marine sectors.


AUM fulfils many of the roles of an insurance company - underwrites (evaluates the risks and exposures of potential clients against the insurance covers), prices (determines the premium that is charged to insure that risk), issues policies, mid-term adjustments and renewals and on some facilities, manages the claims handling and settlement. AUM has an in-depth understanding of the diverse range of solutions that we offer and our insurance products are specially designed and unique to Aon.

About the Role


As a Reporting Technician some of your key responsibilities will involve;


  • Generate Premium, Risk and Bordereau reports.
  • Perform Bordereaux reconciliations for premium and paid; identifying and investigating
  • any discrepancies
  • Maintain a register of reports produced and monitor performance against agreed SLA’s.
  • Assist the Financial Operations teams when performing monthly, quarterly & annual reporting tasks.
  • Assist the AUM Reports Developer to improve reporting capabilities.
  • Responsible for completing Facility and operational MI as and when agreed.
  • Responsible for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.


About you


As a Reporting Technician your skills and qualifications will ideally include;


  • Ideally qualified by experience in a similar role, preferably from an insurance market employer
  • Some knowledge of preparing bordereaux reports preferred but not essential.
  • Some experience on Insurance IT systems to efficiently deliver client reporting services preferred but not essential.
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Excel
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
