    Aon are currently recruiting a Strategic Development Consultant to join our team either as a home worker or in Farnborough, Epsom, London, Leeds, Scotland. Reporting to their regional Area Director and also with a dotted line report to the Head of Health & Risk Consulting, The Health & Risk Development Consultant will be primarily responsible for taking ownership of a portfolio of clients, working with the existing Health & Risk consultants and ensuring that all appropriate propositions are taken to client in line with Aon’s optimal consulting model. Success will be measured on revenue growth and retention.

    About the Role


    As a Strategic Development Consultantt some of your key responsibilities will involve:


    Key Accountabilities:

    • Direct report into the regional Area Director
    • Annual revenue target into region
    • Dotted line report into Head of Health & Risk Consulting
    • Overall responsibility for the delivery of consultancy and propositions to a portfolio of their regions best existing client opportunities (25 to 30 clients)
    • To provide “go to” support for Sales team and for the cross selling process
    • Provide support and build relationships and networks with colleagues across Aon to facilitate Aon United
    • Working effectively with existing risk & healthcare account team members to ensure client satisfaction and delivery of key development opportunities
    • Responsible for maintain a real-time summary of pipeline and new revenue and how achieved
    • Production and population of a real time Whitespace matrix for all clients
    • Mandatory annual strategic "no agenda" meetings for all clients
    • Deliver Forecaster and other appropriate tools annually to all clients
    • Face to Face discussion of all Whitepapers
    • Ensure delivery via appropriate channels of all C of E material and market updates
    • Full adherence to Client Promise process
    • Full client development plans in place and updated
    • Targets to have fully referenceable clients
    • Responsible for building case studies to support marketing and sales team
    • Responsible for colleague introduction – SME’s or Development consultants from other pillars or parts of Aon
    • SFDC pipeline fully up to date
    • Mandatory attendance of key provider briefings and technical training sessions
    • Working with the day to account team to ensure SOW's and TOBAs are reviewed and up to date.
    • Release all client responsibilities on clients that do not fit this framework
    • Contribute comment to Marketing team for trade press or seminars
    • Responsible for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company

    About you


    As a Strategic Development Consultant your skills and qualifications will ideally include:



    • Degree level or above

    Experience, Knowledge & Skills:

    • The successful applicant will have a proven track record of effective client facing Behaviours.
    • Whilst there is no requirement to be an outright expert in both risk and healthcare a sound understanding of the “non-specialist” pillar is essential to help identify opportunities
    • Good inter personal skills to deploy on both the internal and external client teams
    • A strong commercial mind, supported by effective planning of pipeline opportunities
    • A sound understanding of Aon and our key propositions (within AEB as an initial starting point)
    • A self-motivating desire to improve their Aon IQ to help drive further opportunities.
