Aon are currently recruiting a Consultant to join our Risk Finance team in London.
Aon Global Risk Consulting works with Aon colleagues globally to provide integrated insurance and risk management solutions, helping clients understand and improve their risk profile.
The purpose of this role is to provide analysis and advice to a diverse global corporate client base across a diverse range of projects, focusing on optimising insurance programmes, the use of captive insurance companies and aligning clients’ approaches to risk financing with their strategic objectives. About the Role
Risk Finance Consultant:
The role will require the provision of analysis and guidance to clients on risk finance issues, including among other areas, modelling of risk tolerance and appetite for risk retention and advising on effective self-insurance to meet client’s overall risk financing strategy, insurance programme design, establishment and restructuring of captive (re)insurance companies, legacy risk and structured insurance programmes.
Contribute to engagements, co-ordinating resources across colleagues in other functional areas such as actuarial, claims, client management etc.
Communicate with clients through written reports and verbal presentations, as well as provide technical client management and guidance.
Interface with the insurance market to develop practical solutions.
Contribute to the research technical issues as well as the development of the team’s product and service offering.
Develop relationships with direct clients and the client management teams across Aon.
Responsible for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.
Specific experience within a risk consulting environment is not a prerequisite, although a solid knowledge of insurance and/or risk management would be advantageous. This may have been gained through a client management position with a focus on global/multi-national clients, captive management or an in-house risk management role.
