McLagan are currently recruiting a Reward Manager specialising in Insurance to join our team in London. The Insurance Reward Manager will be primarily responsible for providing reward benchmarking and consulting services to UK and European organisations.

About the Role

 

As a Insurance Reward Manager some of your key responsibilities will involve:

 

Benchmarking extensive data

Reward Design activities

Providing consulting services to our clients

 

Responsibility for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.

 

 

About you

  • You will be able to use your associated experience in the building of significant relationships ideally with clients in Insurance, either from a consulting role or from within an Insurance firm.
  • Strong technical reward expertise and looking to utilise those skills in a consultative environment that will deliver revenue opportunities for the McLagan Insurance team.

 

As a Insurance Reward Manager your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

 

1. General

  • Sound understanding of and interest in Insurance.
  • A thorough understanding of compensation and the issues affecting reward structures.
  • Ability to master a specific area of expertise. Would be considered a expert and the go-to person for either an internal process or a market sector.
  • Likely have a supervisory/mentoring role. Would be a person that more junior staff can learn from and takes a proactive role in sharing experience and expertise.
  • Good communication skills both internally and externally.

2. Clients

  • Driven in client service, origination, and delivers results orientated solutions to often complex problems.
  • Able to develop business by understanding a client’s requirements and tailoring approach.
  • Manages client relationships utilising resources where appropriate (junior staff, senior experts, technology).
  • Prioritising requests and managing client’s expectations.

3. Technical

  • Rigorous and logical approach to process.
  • Strong technically in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent analytical skills. Proven record of ability to distil large amounts of data into a coherent message to facilitate decision making.

4. Other

  • Fluent English is a prerequisite – both written and verbal skills.
  • Other language skills would be an advantage, particularly European.
  • Degree qualified, ideally in a numerate discipline.
