We are currently recruiting for a Partnership Business Development Manager for our Affinity business. The role will be “home based”.

About the Role

 

The Partnerships Business Development Manager (BDM) will have responsibilities for delivering new affinity partnerships, which produce profitable revenue from the recurring sale of insurance and risk solutions.

 

An affinity partnership is one where Aon and the Affinity combine to provide benefits to the members or affiliates of the Partner. This can be the provision of insurance solutions that are relevant to the partner – for example if they are a professional body providing solutions for their members – or simply where the partner wishes to optimise the customer base they have and can do this through the sale of insurance products.

 

The role itself will be to develop partnerships from either warm leads provided from within other parts of Aon or from qualified lists of identified potential partners. This is a self-starting role and the BDM will be expected to build prospect list, develop a sales pipeline, create relationships and complete sales.

 

Support from within the marketing and product teams will be provided to enable the BDM to focus on building relationships and making sales.

 

As a Partnerships Business Development Manager (BDM) some of your key responsibilities will involve:

 

Build a sales pipeline of Affinity partnerships.

Prospect leads, both warm and virgin.

Develop relationships with an outcome of making affinity sales.

Commercial negotiation getting the best value for the customer and Aon whilst maintaining

great partners relationships.

Supporting with implementation.

Navigating internal Aon processes to get the most effective an efficient outcome for the Affinity partnership.

Responsible for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.

 

About you

 

As a Partnerships Business Development Manager (BDM) your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

 

Experience in business development ideally B2B.

Experience of sales in a highly regulated industry preferred.

Ability to work unsupervised.

Experience in prospecting and pipeline building.

Strong partnership skills to manage internal stakeholders.

Ability to prioritize work.

Relentless determination to win new business.

Ability to articulate the value proposition in a way that shows the benefits to the client and

customers.

Strong project management skills to follow through on sales wins.
