    Aon are currently recruiting a Risk Data Analyst to join our Portfolio Solutions team which is part of the Global Broking Centre based in Chelmsford.

     

    The Risk Data Analyst will be primarily responsible for managing day to day data cleansing processes and the systematic production of complete and accurate portfolio risk and

    exposure data for all business placed by Aon's Global Broking Centre (GBC) in London.

     

    They will also deliver on data requirements to support the development, placement and ongoing management of new and renewing Structured Portfolio Solutions (SPS), performance management processes and general analysis of the GBC portfolio.

    About the Role

     

    Your impact as a Risk Data Analyst:

     

    • Managing day to day data cleansing processes with offshore teams, across all lines of business to ensure timely and accurate risk and exposure data on the entire GBC portfolio
    • Managing the collection of slips and client schedules on a 'livebasis' across all classes of business as well as queries from colleagues, IT and/or offshore teams related to the data capture and reporting processes
    • Working with Aon's Exposure Management Team and GBC business units to resolve any issues
    • Reviewing data quality as well as reporting to ensure accuracy and resolve any issues
    • Providing regular progress updates and coordinating with senior colleagues to address any identified issues or risks to delivery
    • Developing a detailed understanding of reporting tools, underlying portfolio data and risk databases, to identify any issues or impact on analysis or data cleansing processes in order to meet deadlines and ensure the highest possible accuracy and completeness
    • Supporting the analysis of relevant portfolio data to produce various internal and market-facing analysis and reporting
    • Assisting with the analysis of the GBC and Aon portfolio (as required) to help produce underwriter presentations and support the development, ongoing management, renewal and placement of new SPS in the market
    • Continuously identifying opportunities to improve business processes or operational efficiencies, to increase potential profitability, completeness and accuracy of risk/exposure data, as well as relevance of analysis and reporting
    • Providing weekly updates to senior management on the completeness of available risk and exposure data on the portfolio
    • Reviewing monthly invoicing from 3rd party service providers, in preparation for signoff and payment
    • Supporting other Portfolio Solutions initiatives as required for Aon’s global Broking and Structured Portfolio Solutions strategy, including Aon Client Treaties

     

    Responsibility for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.

     

    About you

     

    Your knowledge and expertise:

     

    • Educated to Degree Level standard preferable with a numerate discipline or equivalent
    • London Market insurance experience and knowledge an asset, preferably
    • with or working towards CII qualifications
    • Significant attention to detail and demonstrated problem solving ability
    • Highly organized and effective at prioritising tasks to meet deadlines
    • Basic knowledge of Broking processes and insurance documentation
    • Ability to develop and maintain effective business relationships both in person and over electronic communication
    • Experience working with offshore teams and crosscultural communication an asset
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
