Our Global Investment Manager research team aims to identify investment managers with the potential to perform well in the future and who can add value to our clients’ portfolios. The range of asset classes we research for our clients is constantly under review and encompasses a broad range of traditional and alternative assets.

This role will primarily cover the Liquid Alternatives (Hedge Fund) Manager Investment universe, researching Global and Regional strategies. You will be part of a Global Research Team, based in London.


The position provides support to our investment consulting operations in the execution and delivery of hedge fund consulting services to clients.


The successful applicant will be responsible for undertaking research on new and existing managers, monitoring of existing manager products and coordination and completion of data and analytical work to support the Hedge Funds Manager Research function.


Your impact as a Hedge Fund Manager Researcher

  • Support other team members in providing advice to consultants and their clients
  • Asset and fund level performance data analysis and comparisons
  • Assist with the undertaking of new fund due diligence and monitor existing funds
  • Market data collection and analysis
  • Assist with creating presentations depicting team views, research or client solutions
  • Operate with limited supervision in completing assigned responsibilities
  • Demonstrate initiative and ownership in completing projects
  • Meet deadlines and work with a variety of different internal clients


You bring skills & expertise

  • University degree to at least 2:1 level
  • The likely candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in a financial markets related role
  • Strong analytical skills with high proficiency in MS Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.  VBA or other coding skills would be viewed favourably.
  • Strong grasp of global financial markets and some knowledge of the fund management industry
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment on a variety of projects, receive instructions from a number of people, and meet project deadlines
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Quick learner and demonstrated problem solver
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
