We’re hiring!

 

We are currently looking to recruit a Business Analyst for our Chelmsford office. As a Business Analyst you will be accountable for requirements gathering, process design, documentation, system configuration, document templates, reporting, user acceptance scripting/support and project implementation activities.

 

You will be responsible for pro-actively gathering information from a variety of sources, including through meetings at various levels within the organisation and will be expected to challenge appropriately, adding your views whilst still presenting unbiased findings in the form of reports, process diagrams/maps etc.

 

The Business Analyst will be expected to manage complex and difficult negotiations between stakeholders that could potentially impact the scope of the project.  Change Management experience is also desirable.

About the Role

 

Your key responsibilities will involve;

 

Analyse and document current and future state business processes from the perspectives of, clients, network offices, carriers etc.

Define and prioritise business requirements, preparing feasibility studies, cost benefit analysis, and business process reengineering.

Undertake analysis (SWOT, Gap, etc) to assist in project decision making.

Work with 3rd party suppliers to support system configuration activities, including gathering requirements from key stakeholders for configuration tasks, reviewing system specifications and ensuring signoff is achieved from SMEs.

Assist with Document Template design/development and Reporting requirements/design.

Provide analytical and research supported by reviewing performance and volumes data to support the prioritisation of specific lines of business, processes and trading partnerships.

Undertaking the development of UAT scripts and support business SME UAT activity and as required undertake key UAT scenario validation.

Assist in identifying issues and potential risks relating to project and non-project situations. Understand all risks affecting the project and assist in implementing mitigating factors.

Undertake data field mapping between systems and/or processes

You will be responsible for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.

 

 

About you

 

As a Business Analyst your skills and qualifications will include;

 

The candidate will possess a strong track record of working on business change projects, including the production of current/future state process maps and gap analysis between the two.

Experience of Policy Admin System projects is essential.

Experience of Target Operating Model implementation or BPI / BPR is highly desirable.

Experience of projects involving Document Template design and development is highly desirable.

Experience of projects involving reporting design/development.

Familiarity with UAT methodologies and test practices, including UAT scripting is essential.

The candidate will be able to demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and the ability to analyse and present information in a variety of formats to suit the intended audience.

The candidate will have excellent communication and presentation skills, both oral and written. Embodies a positive image to all audiences and is used to working with senior stakeholders.

Continually demonstrates skills in influencing others and have the ability to know when to challenge decisions and when to exhibit flexibility for decisions made by others.

Current ability to use a variety of recognised analysis and design techniques; experience designing and facilitating workshops will be looked on favourably.

Demonstrable knowledge of technology and standard desk top packages: MS/Excel, MS/Word, MS/Project, MS/PowerPoint, MS/Visio.

Experience in developing good working relationships across the market.
