We are currently looking to recruit a Senior Consultant, to join our Claims Preparation, Advocacy and Valuations team in London.

 

Claims Preparation, Advocacy and Valuations UK (CPAV UK) is a team made up of forensic accountants, loss adjusters and experienced claims advocates. CPAV UK sits within the Aon Global Risk Consulting division of Aon Risk Solutions, based in London and servicing client’s needs. As part of a Global practice, we specialise in the quantification and management of predominately major Property and Business Interruption claims and pre-loss programme reviews on behalf of Aon clients. Our experts are also regularly engaged by the legal profession to assist in a wide range of contentious matters.

 

We are looking for Senior Consultants, with experience of the quantification of major claims, to join the team. You will be responsible for delivering claims preparation and quantification projects for a variety of Business Interruption and Liability claims. Using this claims experience, you may also be engaged in pre-loss assessments, both in terms of estimating potential losses and stress testing insurance recoverability.

 

You will be a point of contact for major Aon clients and assist with the delivery of the team’s operational and financial objectives and independently develop marketing activities focused on building relationships within the relevant sales channels.

About the Role

 

Your key responsibilities will involve;

 

Due to our continued success, we have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Consultant to join our highly successful CPAV UK team based in London. The role consists of the following core responsibilities:

 

Client Advisory

Provide advice on Business Interruption claims and Business Interruption review matters including but not limited to; claims management, policy analysis and interpretation, claims preparation and calculation, presentations to clients and to the insurance market, quantum assessments for arbitration and Court purposes, structured insurance programmes and the regulatory environment.

Provide formal claim / review quantification submissions.

Provide formal written reports and / or verbal presentations, adjusting standard reporting as required by the specific circumstances of each assignment.

Business Development

Develop and implement strategies to expand relationships with internal and external clients.

Understand client and market trends to develop and expand the teams service offering.

Develop and maintain broad relationships with potential opportunity providers within and outside the Aon network.

Assist in driving CPAV UK initiatives forward alongside leadership

 

Operational

Claims consulting team support – line manager and reviewer for analysts (as relevant).

Coaching of less experienced staff.

Monitor and enforce quality assurance procedures.

Ensure compliance with FCA requirements.

Monitor project profitability and take remedial action as appropriate.

Ensure timely invoicing of clients and monitoring of debtors

 

Dimensions of Role

Regional Responsibility: Located in London to develop business across EMEA with a particular focus on the UK

Revenue Accountability: Personally participate in the delivery of £250,000 of new business revenue

Achieve 75% billable utilization or contracted hours.

Responsible for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.

 

About you

 

As a Senior Consultant your skills and qualifications will include;

 

2:1 degree or above in relevant field

Experience such as Forensic Accounting or Loss Adjusting

Experience of claims quantification for major claims

Experience of business interruption analysis

Possess excellent interpersonal skills with a wide range of internal and external clients to a senior level and capable of explaining complex concepts and solutions in terms understandable to an audience of varied knowledge and experience.

Operate at all times in a professional manner and in line with individual and group commercial objectives maximising profitability.

Be capable of working in a team and individually to tight deadlines

Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

Analytical with attention to detail
