Aon are currently recruiting a Pensions Team Manager to join our team in Bristol on a fixed term contract until June 2018. The Pensions Team Manager will be primarily responsible for leading a team(s) and managing the operational system in the efficient and accurate administration of pensions in line with client and member demand.

 

About the Role

 

As a Pensions Team Manager some of your key responsibilities will involve;

 

Deliver to a high standard, day to day pensions administration service for portfolio of client(s).  This includes ad-hoc requirements, reporting, scheme and member event work.

Take responsibility for the quality and standard of work produced by the team.

Promote team work and Aon’s active management principals.

Ensure that agreed control processes are implemented and maintained, including sign off of scheme controls on a monthly basis

Work with the Client Management Team in order to work towards client expectations. Managing priorities effectively and ensuring a high quality of service is maintained.

Identify any trends which will improve quality, identify training needs or improve efficiencies within the team.

Support and coach team members, highlight and assist with any training and development needs.

Support the Operations Manager by maintaining wider team awareness.

Contribute and adhere to the Benefits Administration operating principles.

Understand the fee basis for clients within the team, highlight and identify any additional fee opportunities.

Proactively complete a monthly face to face meeting with all direct reports, complete development plans and succession plans for key individuals.

Ensure that team members are engaged and utilised to their full potential.

Participate in, and be accountable for, continuous professional and personal development including keeping up to date with statutory obligations and relevant FCA guidelines and legislation

Comply with corporate requirements including SOX controls, AAF audits and Aon’s Data Security policy.

Ensure that any potential E&O cases are addressed in accordance with an appropriate procedure to minimise Aon's exposure.

Upon identification, report risks to appropriate colleague to ensure appropriate risk management activities are implemented.

Responsible for own continuous professional and personal development including keeping abreast of statutory obligations and relevant guidelines and legislation.

You will work closely with all members of the team. You will assist the Operations Manager and support with operating efficiencies within the location.

You should actively participate in team meetings and seek opportunities to develop self and others where possible.

Responsible for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.

 

About you

 

As a Pensions Team Manager your skills and qualifications will ideally include;

 

Team player, who is able to work to tight deadlines

Strong attention to detail and commitment to provide ongoing quality

Pensions and/or management experience required.

Strong mathematical and English skills

Competent in word and excel
