Aon are currently recruiting a Pension Transfer Consultant to join our team in Bristol, Poole or Farnborough. The Pension Transfer Consultant will be primarily responsible for signing off Pension Transfer and Pension Switching Cases, acting as the Consultant on some cases and working with other Advisers to ensure advice is prepared in a compliant manner.  Must hold and maintain relevant qualifications to provide advice on all aspects of Pension Transfer and Pension Switching cases (AF3 or equivalent) and ideally RO8.  Will be authorised and regulated with the FCA.

About the Role

 

As a Pension Transfer Consultant some of your key responsibilities will involve:

 

Key Accountabilities  

  • Act as the Pension Consultant for the Team, signing off DC to DC Transfers , and providing advice on DB to DC Transfers whilst adhering to Aons criteria and processes
  • Providing retirement advice where appropriate
  • Stay up-to-date with current trends in the industry, monitor market developments and identify revenue generation opportunities for existing clients
  • Create business development plans and identify appropriate business development strategies enabling the Team to held DC Services maintain and achieve business targets
  • Where applicable, ensure the requirements of the Financial Services Market Act 2000 and Aon’s Compliance criteria are met in relation to Regulated Business carried out within specific specialist area.
  • Upon identification, report risks to the Operations Director and/or Compliance Director to ensure appropriate risk management activities are implemented
  • Ensure working practices are in adherence with ACUK T&C processes and procedures; where necessary provide evidence and information to appropriate parties which demonstrates compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure that any potential E&O cases are addressed in accordance with an appropriate procedure to minimise Aon's exposure
  • Provide information and updates for regular and adhoc financial statements for the business for regulatory, accounting and other purposes
  • Identify and analyse industry trends and developments to establish emerging client needs and business opportunities
  • Provide assistance and guidance to Team Members to ensure the all processes and business requirements are dealt with in a compliant and efficient manner
  • Develop the content and messages for written client communications issued by the organisation, in conjunction with relevant parties
  • Responsible for own continuous professional and personal development including keeping abreast of statutory obligations and relevant FSA guidelines and legislation
  • Provide on-the-job training and coaching to direct reports, support their skills development via developmental assignments and mentoring efforts
  • Provide support as part of the Bigblue Touch Member Services Team to clients and colleagues alike.  Assist with telephony services and also undertake in contacting clients who have shown an interest in Aon's Retirement Service.
  • Responsible for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.
