Aon Affinity are currently recruiting a Business Operations Trainer to join our office in Chelmsford.

 

The purpose of the role is to produce and deliver  end to end training to UK Affinity colleagues, specifically client facing colleagues, to allow them to deliver the required customer journey and customer proposition; one that delivers great service and technical knowledge whilst meeting our internal and regulatory requirements. Support the co-ordination and execution of Aon UK Affinity’s Business Operations policy and ensuring that operational initiatives and best practice are uniformly followed across the business. To support and drive a continuous improvement culture across the business and work with the Head of Business Operations and local leadership teams to ensure that all business change activities are embedded in a timely, efficient way resulting in BAU working practices

About the Role

 

As a Trainer some of your key responsibilities will involve;

  • Following the direction set by the firm
  • Providing support to the operational servicing across Aon
  • Designing, producing and delivering below aspects of training to the business
    • Technical training
    • Processes and system training
    • Regulatory training
    • Aon specific training
    • Soft skills
  • Actively supporting the business in the identification of training needs
  • Supporting the assessment of technical competencies of colleagues
  • Supporting the establishment of and then monitoring of a robust, practical training & competency framework to underpin operational excellence
  • Supporting and, where appropriate providing training, to off shore teams supporting the business
  • Supporting the Head of Business Operations in ensuring operational aspects of client requirements are fully met and treating customers fairly is embedded into day to day working practices
  • Working with Branch Directors to ensure assistance in ensuring robust training and competence processes are in place
  • Supporting the Head of Business Operations in ensuring that Aon UK Affinity’s training strategy is translated into local actions and implemented on time and within budget
  • Actively participating in regular business operations meetings to ensure issues are highlighted and recommendations for improvements are communicated
  • Supporting business projects as directed by the Head of Business Operations
  • Actively participating in your own personal development

 

About you

 

As a Trainer your skills and qualifications will ideally include;

  • Experience in designing, producing and delivering front office training and supporting BAU activities in the SME and/or consumer environments
  • Working knowledge of FCA regulation relating to insurance broking, with a track record of successful application of that knowledge in the consumer and SME environments
  • Ability to navigate a diverse business environment and influence key stakeholders

 

 Knowledge and Skills

  • A commitment to the development of peoples technical skills in alignment with business needs
  • Desire to influence the development of a professional, ‘learning organisation’
  • Commitment to and active involvement in raising standards and professionalism
  • Enthusiastic team player with good relationship and empathy building skills who is capable of delivering training across a diverse range of relationships
  • Track record of team work – able to work with others and where appropriate motivate and inspire team to achieve success
  • Self-disciplined and organised
  • Knowledge of FCA requirements and standards
  • Collaborative approach, with the ability to operate in a matrix management environment
  • Capable of building and maintaining relationships at senior levels of the organisation
  • Commercial understanding of business i.e. market forces, business drivers etc.
  • Ideally holds valid insurance accreditations such as DipCII or CertCII
