    Strategy Associate, Global Operations

    Aon are currently recruiting a Global Operations to join our team in London. The Global Operations will be primarily responsible for supporting the Chief Operating Officer, Strategy Director and Director, Global Operations to positively impact the key revenue and expense levers of ARS’ global financial performance. Examples of the key levers are:

     

    ARS compensation; carrier commission yield and client pricing

    Strategic cost management across Risk

    Digital strategy, e.g. SOPHI and Risk/View

    Data and analytics, e.g. data harvesting and Enterprise analytics

    About the Role

     

    Your key responsibilities as will involve;

     

    Contribute to deeply analytical projects to determine a robust fact based assessment of the current situation

    Undertake both internal and external ad-hoc research work, including benchmarking of performance across the business and industry globally

    Facilitate and conduct interviews with key executive ARS stakeholders to obtain their insights and document these as appropriate

    Work collaboratively with other business areas and central functions to leverage their expertise and knowledge, incorporating these into written reports as required

    Source operational and other performance metrics to support the identification and setting of specific improvement targets

    Produce project deliverables, white papers and other supporting papers for approval as directed by Director, Global Operations

    Challenge the status quo and support in developing recommendations for improvements, backed by robust analysis

    Work with the Strategy Director and Director, Global Operations to develop, agree and support the implementation of those recommendations   

    When needed, work with external suppliers (e.g. consultants) to produce specific deliverables and outcomes

    Oversee work of analyst/secondees and other (temporary) members of project teams

    Act as a role model and build effective working relationships with assigned key stakeholders

    Maintain procedures to ensure awareness of and adherence to regulatory and Aon Global policy requirements

     

    You will be responsible for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.

     

    About you

     

    Strategy Associate/Senior Associate your skills and qualifications will include;

     

    You will have proven experience within Strategy, Insurance or Consulting.

    You will have a minimum of a 2:1 bachelor’s degree (or equivalent).

    Fact based, data driven with significant experience in data analysis and manipulation skills.

    Proficient in both primary and secondary sources of research.

    Experience of preparing reports and in creating and implementing plans to improve business performance.

    Skilled at developing and sharing best practices.

    Understanding of project management techniques and practices including change management principles and approaches.

    Critical thinking – problem diagnosis and solving.

    Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, able to engage well across organisational levels, especially with senior stakeholders, and internationally.

    Enthusiastic team player with strong relationship and empathy building skills who is capable of selling reasons for change to a diverse range of stakeholders.

    Able to work under pressure and deliver work of high standard under tight deadlines.

    Comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty as part of a matrix driven global organisation.
